About us
The Laboratory on Basin Analysis (LABAP, Laboratório de Análise de Bacias) is a research group dedicated to the study of all geological aspects of sedimentary basins, from process sedimentology to tectonics. The lab was established in 2002 through a partnership with the oil industry. Our aim is three-fold: to produce geoscientific knowledge on sedimentaty basins, to contribute on the formation of geoscience professionals and to promote the interchange between academy and industry.
